Welcome to the guide on assembling project files with Advance Steel

Step 1: Export the project IFC file from Advance Steel

1.1 Select the Export & Import Tab.

1.2 In the “Exchange formats section”, select “Export IFC”.

1.3 Export file format should be “IFC MVD EM.11”.

1.4 Select the desired location of the output file and file name.

We suggest using the project name in the file.

1.5 Select “OK” to export the IFC.

Step 2: Export the project KISS file from Advance Steel

2.1 Select the Export & Import Tab.

2.2 In the “Exchange formats section”, select the drop-down beside “Exchange formats” title.

2.3 Select “KISS”.

2.4 Select the desired destination and KISS file name.

2.5 Select “Save”.

Now you have both IFC and KISS files. Let's complete the final steps!

Step 3: Get PDF files from your detailer that contain assembly drawings

It's fine if there are no PDF files, and you only have IFC and KISS files, however, if you need/want to have PDF files with the drawings, please get them from the detailer.

Step 4: Archive all the files into ZIP within your device

4.1 Locate all the files/folders that you want to zip within your devise.

• IFC and KISS files are required;
• PDF files are optional, but feel free to upload them for your convenience.

4.2 Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.

That ZIP file is your ready to upload project.
